ਨਾਮ ਭਗਤੀ ਗੋਸਵਾਮੀ ਤੁਲਸੀਦਾਸ

ਗੋਸਵਾਮੀ ਤੁਲਸੀਦਾਸ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਸੰਤ, ਕਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਤ ਸਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਰਮਨ-ਪਿਆਰੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਰਾਮਚਰਿਤ ਮਾਨਸ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਾਹਿਤ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਤਮ ਰਚਨਾ ਮੰਨੀ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਹੈ। 16ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਤੁਲਸੀਦਾਸ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਰਚਨਾ ਸੰਸਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖੀ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ, ਭਗਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤੀ ਦਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਜਨ-ਸਾਧਾਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਾਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਝ ਆ ਜਾਏ। ਇਹ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ, ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਵਿ ਰਚਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।

Goswami Tulsidas was an eminent saint, poet and devotee whose famous work, the Ram-Charit-Manas, is considered one of the most distinguished works of Indian literature. In the sixteenth century, Tulsidas wrote in Hindi rather than Sanskrit and made accessible the same message of truth, devotion and God-realization that all true saints convey. This book presents his life and teachings followed by poetry selections from several of his works.
