Sant Paltu
 પલટૂ સાહેબઅધ્યાત્મવિદ્યાના ગુરુ તરીકે જેમની ગણના થાય છે એ સંત પલટૂ ઈ.સ.1710-1780 દરમ્યાન ઉત્તર ભારતના રહેવાસી એક દુકાનદાર હતા. આ પુસ્તકમાં શરૂઆતમાં પલટૂ સાહેબના જીવન અને ઉપદેશનું વર્ણન છે અને પછી એમનાં અનેક પદો પણ આપેલાં છે. પલટૂ સાહેબે જીવંત સદગુરુ અને એમના પ્રત્યે ભક્તિભાવ, નામનો આંતરિક અભ્યાસ તથા પ્રેમના વિશ્વવ્યાપી માર્ગનો ઉપદેશ આપ્યો છે. તેમણે ધાર્મિક કટ્ટરતા અને કર્મકાંડનો જોરદાર વિરોધ કર્યો હતો, જેના કારણે કટ્ટરપંથીઓએ તેમની ઝૂંપડીને આગ લગાવીને તેમને જીવતા સળગાવી દીધા હતા. તેમણે પ્રભાવશાળી વાણીમાં રોજિંદા જીવન અને કાર્યોને લગતી અનેક બાબતોમાં સલાહ આપી છે. તેમની વિરોધાભાસી વાણી સુંદર અને અતિ સશક્ત છે.A spiritual master and teacher, Paltu was a grocer of northern India who lived from 1710 to 1780. This volume gives an account of Paltu's life and teachings, along with the translation of many of his poems. He was critical of orthodox religious practices and rituals, and for this he was ultimately burnt alive by the religious authorities.
