ਸਹਿਜੋਬਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਦਯਾਬਾਈ

ਸਹਿਜੋਬਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਬਾਈ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨਦਾਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਸਨ। ਦੋਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਸ਼ਵਾਨ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੋਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਉੱਚਾ ਉੱਠਣ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਆਪ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਵਿਚ ਪਰਮਾਰਥ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਹਿਲੂਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਪਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਪ੍ਰਮੁੱਖ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਆਪ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਪੱਕਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਅੰਦਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਥਿਰ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਤ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਯੋਗ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਜੁਗਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਸਿੱਖੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

Sahjobai and Dayabai were disciples of Sant Charandas. Their teachings emphasize rising above attachments of this transient world and imbibing true love of God in one’s heart. Though they have highlighted various aspects of spirituality, love for their Master is the core of their poetry. They stress that one can learn the technique of concentration and follow the path of Surat Shabd yoga only under the guidance of a Master.
