ਮਾਰਗ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਵਿਚ

ਇਹ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਸੁਭਾਵਿਕ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮਮਈ ਸ਼ੈਲੀ ਵਿਚ ਲਿਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ 1940 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ ਔਰਤ ਦਾ ਇਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਕਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਸਾਵਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਾਮ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਬਿਰਤਾਂਤ (ਹਾਲ) ਬਿਆਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। 1960 ਦੇ ਦਹਾਕੇ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਭਾਰਤ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਰਾਜ ਚਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਮੁਲਾਕਾਤ ਹੋਈ। ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਮਲ ਹਾਸਰਸ ਭਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੀ ਇਸ ਪੁਸਤਕ ਵਿਚ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਥੀ ਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬਿਤਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਮੇਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਯਾਦਾਂ ਦਰਜ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਤਿਸੰਗਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਖ਼ਾਸ-ਖ਼ਾਸ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਤਮਤ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਚਰਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਉਲੇਖ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਰਚਨਾ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਨਿਸ਼ਚਿੰਤ ਖ਼ੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਲੇਖਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਦੀ ਮੌਜ਼ੂਦਗੀ ਵਿਚ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਹੋਇਆ।

Written in an informal and intimate style, this short volume tells the story of a young Englishwoman's coming to the Path during the 1940s, her initiation by Maharaj Sawan Singh, and her subsequent visit to India in the 1960s when she met Maharaj Charan Singh. The book consists of personal recollections of her association with the Masters and fellow disciples, summaries and highlights of the Masters discourses, and discussions of the Sant Mat teachings. Her writing is saturated with humility and gentle humour and gives a taste of the carefree joy she experienced in the Master's presence.
