Sant Bhima Bhoi (1850-1895) was a great poet-saint of Odisha. His teachings have focused on basic principles of spirituality. His poems speak of the way to realize God, the importance of a spiritual master, the law of karma, the futility of ritualistic practices and the purpose of human life. He urges us to rise above caste, creed and gender bias and follow a righteous way of life to gain spiritual awakening.
