Surdas: Prem Bhakti

सूरदास: प्रेम-भक्ति

सूरदास जी पंद्रहवीं शताब्दी के भक्ति आंदोलन के एक महान संत हैं। गोस्वामी तुलसीदास जी ने राम और सूरदास जी ने कृष्ण के माध्य्म से परम सत्य को अभिव्यक्त किया है। प्रत्येक समय और स्थान के संतों के लिए आध्यात्मिक सत्य और उसका अर्थ एक समान रहा है। स्थानीय बोली ब्रज भाषा में काव्य रचना के कारण सूरदास जन-जन के हृदय तक पहुँचने में सफल हुए। उनका जीवन सारी मानव जाति के लिए प्रेरणा का स्रोत है। उन्होंने सिद्ध कर दिया कि जीवन की परिस्थितियाँ चाहे कितनी भी विकट हों परंतु परमात्मा की दया, पूर्ण गुरु की सहायता और पूरी निष्ठा से किए अपने प्रयासों के द्वारा कोई भी मनुष्य परमात्मा से मिलाप कर सकता है, परमानंद की अवस्था प्राप्त कर सकता है और जन्म-मरण के अंतहीन चक्र से सदा के लिए मुक्त हो सकता है।

Surdas was a great Saint of the ‘Bhakti’ movement during the 15th century. Goswami Tulsidas referred to Rama whereas Surdas chose Krishna as the medium for the expression of divine truth. However, the spiritual truth and divine meaning is common to Saints at all times and places. Using Braj bhasha, the local language, Surdas successfully reached the hearts of the populace. His life is an inspiring example for entire humanity proving that however trying the circumstances of life may be but with divine grace, help of a perfect Master and devoted individual effort any human being can attain union with God, gain eternal divine bliss and freedom from the unending cycle of life and death.
