“फ़क़ीर लालन साँई – बंगाल के संत कवि” संत कबीर, संत दादू दयाल, संत रविदास, संत रज्जब जी जैसे संत-कवियों की परंपरा में बंगाल के संत कवि पर प्रकाशित पुस्तक है। फ़क़ीर लालन साँई की प्रेम-भक्ति सूफ़ी परंपरा से प्रभावित थी। ईश्वर, ख़ुदा प्रत्येक जीवात्मा में मौजूद है। उसे हम बाहर ही बाहर खोजते हैं “करे वह रंगमहल को रोशन, रहो तुम दिन रात उसके पास, फिर भी न पाओ उसका आभास।” वह प्रकाश और धुन, नूर और कलमा के रूप में हर जीव में वर्तमान है। वक़्त के मुर्शिद, गुरु से ध्यान की पद्धति सीखकर उस तक पहुँचा जा सकता है। सूफ़ी सिद्धांतों के साथ-साथ गायकी की मधुरता ने उनके काव्य को अद्वितीय बना दिया है।

Lalan Sain was influenced by Sufism. His teachings emphasized that the Lord is present in every soul, but we search for him outside. “He lightens this body. You are near to him day and night, yet you do not realize his presence.” The Lord is present in every soul in the form of light and sound. One can unite with the Lord by learning the technique of meditation from the living Master. Besides Sufi principles, the sweetness of the lyrics made his poetry unparalleled.
